Bethany Presbyterian Church collects non-perishable food items to be donated to the Emergency Food Pantry in Honesdale.
Non perishable items can be placed in a box in the ladies’ parlor. Items that are in need are: mustard, salad dressing, jam, spaghetti sauce, sugar, flour, pancake mix, syrup or any other non-perishable items. Any items would be greatly appreciated.
The congregation participates annually in the Super Bowl of Caring. Cash donations and food items are collected on Super Bowl Sunday and given to the pantry.
We adopted Bethany Village, a senior assisted living center in our town. The church donated personal items, treats, and soft tissues for residents at both Christmas and Easter. We continue to assess resident needs to provide help as needed. It is our desire to serve Bethany Village seniors in whatever we can.
Our church donates to local nonprofit organizations, such as Wayne County Children and Youth and Victims Intervention Program.
The church’s Disaster Relief Fund sends donations for victims of natural disasters in the United States or abroad. We have send funds to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey as well as by tornados, flooding, and wildfires.
